Pure New Zealand, Proven Ingredients — your gateway in and out of New Zealand

Who we are

New Zealand Supply Corp is a New Zealand-owned ingredient supply business built on three decades of relationships with the growers, harvesters, processors and manufacturers who actually make things in this country.

We work in two directions. We supply New Zealand-made functional ingredients to manufacturers, brand owners and distributors around the world. And we bring international ingredients into New Zealand and Australia, acting as importer of record, clearing them, warehousing them and delivering them to local manufacturers. For an overseas supplier wanting a foothold in this market, and for an overseas buyer wanting genuine New Zealand material, we are the same single point of contact.

We are deliberately small and principal-led. When you contact us you are dealing with a decision maker, not a queue. That means quick answers on price and availability, direct access to the people who handle your material, and someone who will tell you straight when something cannot be done rather than leaving an enquiry to go cold.

What we supply — our New Zealand made range

New Zealand's isolation, clean water, low-intensity farming and strict biosecurity produce raw materials that are difficult to replicate anywhere else. Our range is drawn from producers we know personally and have worked with for years.

Marine — green-lipped mussel powder, green-lipped mussel oil, hoki oil, tuna oil, hoki roe powder, abalone powder, oyster powder, krill oil.

New Zealand green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus) is the country's best-known functional marine ingredient, farmed in the Marlborough Sounds and Coromandel and used worldwide in joint health formulations. Our marine oils are taken from sustainably managed New Zealand fisheries, with full traceability back to the harvest.

Berry and botanical — blackcurrant powder, blackcurrant extract, kiwifruit powder, barley grass powder, kale powder, algal DHA oil, astaxanthin oil.

New Zealand blackcurrants are grown under high UV light, which drives anthocyanin levels well above those of Northern Hemisphere fruit — the reason they are specified for sports performance, eye health and cognitive formulations. Our green powders are grown and dried in New Zealand, not blended in from elsewhere and relabelled.

Dairy and protein — goat milk powder, sheep milk powder, lactoferrin, whey protein concentrate, collagen powder, bone broth powder.

New Zealand dairy is pasture-raised and seasonal, and the country's dairy processing and food safety systems are among the most closely audited in the world. Goat and sheep milk powders in particular are in demand for infant, senior and sensitive-digestion formats.

Specialty — honey powders, deer placenta powder, kanuka oil.

These are the lines that are hard to buy anywhere else — the products where a phone call to the right person matters more than a catalogue.

If a New Zealand-made ingredient is not on this list, ask anyway. The list reflects what we move most often, not the limit of what we can source.

Bringing ingredients into New Zealand

The other half of our business is the way in. We import ingredients into New Zealand and Australia on behalf of overseas producers and local manufacturers, and we handle the parts that make importing into this market difficult:

  • Importer of record. We take on the compliance obligations of the importing party so an overseas supplier does not need a New Zealand entity to sell here.
  • Customs and biosecurity clearance. Cleared through our customs agent, with documentation prepared to meet New Zealand's requirements before the vessel arrives rather than after.
  • Bulk handling and logistics. Full container loads, IBC totes, drums and pallets, including heated and temperature-sensitive product, through our warehousing and 3PL partners.
  • Distribution to New Zealand manufacturers. We hold stock locally and supply the contract manufacturers, supplement brands and food processors who use it, so an overseas producer gets a route to market rather than just a shipment.

  • We are actively looking for global manufacturers who are seeking an ANZ distribution partner and would love to chat!

    Why us

Thirty years of relationships. Our network across New Zealand growers, processors and manufacturers was built over three decades, and most of it does not appear in any directory. That network is the product. It is the reason we can get a straight answer on availability in a day rather than a fortnight.

We find what others can't. A large part of what we do is sourcing the ingredients other suppliers say are unavailable. Small harvests, single-site processors, seasonal material, producers who do not export and have never had a reason to. If it is made in New Zealand, we can usually find a way to it.

We are open to smaller MOQs. We work at the volume you actually need, not the volume that suits us. That matters if you are trialling a new formulation, launching into a small market, or building a brand that does not yet justify a full pallet. We would rather grow with a customer from a sample order than turn one away.

Documentation that clears the door. Certificates of analysis, specifications, certificates of conformance, safety data sheets, health certificates, export documentation and country-of-origin evidence — prepared properly and supplied ahead of delivery, because a shipment held up over paperwork costs everyone more than the paperwork was ever worth. Our customers include contract manufacturers who audit their suppliers, and we are set up for that scrutiny.

One point of contact, both directions. Sourcing, supply, import, clearance, storage and delivery sit with the same person. Nothing gets handed between departments and lost.

Nothing is too hard. It is on our handout because we mean it. The enquiries we like most are the awkward ones — the ingredient nobody stocks, the specification that does not quite exist yet, the volume that is too small to interest a multinational.

    How we work

  • Enquiry. Tell us the ingredient, the specification if you have one, the volume and the destination market.
  • Sourcing and specification. We come back with what is available, from whom, with the specification and supporting documentation for your technical team to assess.
  • Samples. Sample material for evaluation and trial formulation.
  • Quotation. Priced on your chosen Incoterms, with freight, clearance and delivery costed honestly up front.
  • Trial order. At a volume that suits your stage, not ours.
  • Repeat supply. Scheduled production and shipping, with the documentation package arriving before the goods do.
  • Talk to us

We would rather have a conversation about a difficult ingredient than hand over a brochure. If you are looking for something made in New Zealand, or looking for a way into the New Zealand market, come and see us.
