     Salvans® is a proprietary inactivated L. crispatus strain (DSMZ 25988) which acts highly specific against S. pyogenes. 
    Salvans® is the best ingredient to fight bacterial superinfections in throat and pharynx thanks to its UNIQUE DOUBLE MECHANISM OF ACTION:1. Treatment: Salvans® specifically co-aggregates with pharyngeal S. pyogenes. Those coaggregates are propagated by saliva and are finally destroyed in the acidic environment of the stomach. 
    2. Prevention: Salvans® binds to fibronectin and pharyngeal epithelial cell lines, thus reducing the likelihood of S. pyogenes cells to adhere to invade into epithelial cells of the upper respiratory tract.
