Symega Food Ingredients Limited is engaged in developing, manufacturing, and marketing sensory solutions for food, beverage, and allied industries. Headquartered at Pancode near Kochi, Kerala, Symega offers natural colours, flavours, spice blends and seasonings, culinary products, and specialty ingredients to industries ranging from baked goods, confectionery, dairy and beverage to pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and animal nutrition, both in India and abroad. In addition to offering tailor-made ingredient solutions, Symega also collaborates with its clients to develop winning recipes and formulations, and offers toll manufacturing and private labelling support. Some of its notable clients include Pepsico, Nestle, ITC, Amul, and Hershey’s. History Symega Food Ingredients Limited was incepted in 2006 as Symega Savoury Technology Ltd, a joint venture between Synthite Industries, the world leader in value-added spices, and Austria-based Omega Food Technology. During the same year, Synthite entered into another joint venture with the UK-based flavour house Aromco Flavours to form Aromco India Limited. In 2014, Aromco India Limited became a fully owned subsidiary of Synthite Industries and was rechristened Symega Flavours India Limited. In 2016, after 10 years of succesful business operations, both these companies merged to form a complete taste solutions company Symega Food Ingredients Limited. During the same year, it acquired the natural colour division from its parent company Synthite, thereby gaining full-spectrum sensory solutions capability, driving greater synergy from its savoury, flavour, and colour divisions, and offering enhanced value to its customers. Locations Manufacturing operations of Symega are based out of its state-of-the-art facilities at the Synthite Taste Park in Pancode, near Kochi, Kerela. It has warehouses with sales offices at Gurgaon, Haryana and Indore, Madhya Pradesh to cater to the northern and western parts of India. Additionally, Symega has a mobile sales force spread across the Indian sub-continent. It also caters to overseas markets, mainly Southeast Asia, Middlea East and Africa through reputed agents and representatives. Symega has a sales office at St.Louis, USA as well, catering to the North American market.
