Product description
As oil-soluble Vitamin C ester, Ascorbyl Palmitate features excellent oil compatibility, it works as a permitted food-grade preservative to restrain grease oxidation and prolong shelf life of various oily food products.
Application: Food Additive: Used in edible fats, oils, shortenings, fried products (potato chips), margarine, and infant formula to prevent rancidity. Bakery Products: Added to dough to extend shelf life and retard staling by 2–4 days. Nutraceuticals: Used in soft gels, oil-based capsules, and high-fat nutritional supplements to stabilize ingredients and as a highly bioavailable form of vitamin C.
Strength: Antioxidant Power: Highly effective at preventing auto-oxidation in oils. Synergy: It acts as a powerful synergist when combined with tocopherols (Vitamin E) or rosemary extract to enhance stability.
