Vitosa® are natural sweet flavors mainly composed of
glucosylated steviol glycosides. Their sweetness is 100 to155 times sweeter than
sucrose. They are used as natural sugar-free ingredients and flavor enhancers
in different foods and beverages. The product has excellent solubility and is
stable at different temperatures and acidities. The sweetness is pure, starts fast
and disappears quickly, without post-bitterness. It has a synergistic effect
with sucrose, high fructose syrup, various sugar alcohols and other natural or
synthetic high-intensity sweeteners, and can effectively increase the sweetness
of sucrose by 30% in sucrose solution.
In addition to
providing sweetness in food and beverages, Vitosa® also have an obvious flavor enhancing effect which
can effectively enhance the flavor/taste of the product.
Vitosa® are excellent candidates of zero-calorie sweetener
and flavor enhancer in sugar-free or low-sugar food and beverage formulations.
