MUSHEEZ® helps European food, beverage and food supplement companies source functional mushroom ingredients and bring finished products to market through flexible white label and private label production.

Based in Estonia, MUSHEEZ® works with specialist cultivation, extraction and manufacturing partners, while managing ingredient selection, quality control, independent testing, documentation and practical project support.

We support established brands, emerging companies, distributors, retailers, contract manufacturers and product developers. A client may come to MUSHEEZ® for a single bulk ingredient, a ready-to-sell white label product, a customised private label project, or support selecting the most appropriate mushroom material for a new formulation.

WHITE LABEL AND PRIVATE LABEL FUNCTIONAL MUSHROOM PRODUCTS
Available formats include:

Typical starting minimum order quantities can be as low as 48 bottles for selected liquid products, 50 units for powders and 70 units for capsules or tinctures.

White label provides a fast route to market using established products and packaging. Private label allows greater flexibility around formulation, ingredients, packaging and presentation, with minimum order quantities depending on the level of customisation.

MUSHEEZ® can support the process from product and ingredient selection through manufacturing coordination, quality documentation and ongoing commercial supply.

FUNCTIONAL MUSHROOM INGREDIENTS

Depending on the species and intended application, available formats include raw mushroom powders, processed 1:1 powders, concentrated water extracts, dual extracts and liquid ingredients.

MUSHEEZ® does not believe that a larger extraction ratio automatically means a better ingredient. Selection should instead reflect what the client is making, the intended use level, processing requirements, regulatory position, sensory considerations and commercial objectives.

This is particularly important because mushroom ingredients sold under the same common name can differ considerably in fungal material, production method, concentration, composition and intended use.

PUREMUSHROOM™ VERIFIED INGREDIENTS
PureMushroom™ is the MUSHEEZ® range for clients who want stronger evidence around ingredient identity, purity, composition and batch consistency.

The range includes selected Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Chaga, Cordyceps CS-4, Maitake and Shiitake ingredients.

Depending on the ingredient and batch, the MUSHEEZ® verification programme can include:

• Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) identity analysis
• Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry Quadrupole Time-of-Flight (LC-MS-QTOF) compound profiling
• Alpha-glucan and beta-glucan analysis
• Microbiological testing
• Heavy metals testing
• Physical and functional testing

PureMushroom™ ingredients are primarily based on the fruiting body. Chaga uses the conk, while PureCordyceps™ CS-4 is produced from fermented mycelium.

Batch-level information is made available through PureData™, allowing clients to look beyond extraction ratios and supplier specification claims when comparing mushroom ingredients.

SOLVIQA™ FOR FOOD AND BEVERAGE DEVELOPMENT
SOLVIQA™ launches at Fi Europe 2026 and is being developed specifically for food and beverage applications.

The range focuses on the practical behaviour of mushroom ingredients in formulations, not only their chemical specification.

Initial SOLVIQA™ ingredients include selected Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Maitake and Shiitake extracts.

Evaluation can include:

• Water-Holding Capacity
• Oil-Holding Capacity
• Dispersion behaviour
• Sensory characteristics
• Suitability for different food and beverage matrices

This information can help research and development teams identify formulation issues earlier and select ingredients according to the actual application.

Potential applications include ready-to-drink beverages, drink powders, hot drinks, savoury products and other functional foods.

QUALITY CONTROL AND INDEPENDENT TESTING
MUSHEEZ® combines specialist external manufacturing with its own quality control and verification programme.

We distinguish clearly between information supplied by a manufacturer and analysis independently commissioned by MUSHEEZ®.

Testing is selected according to the ingredient and the question that needs answering. No single analytical method provides every answer.

For example, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance can provide strong evidence around chemical identity and composition, while Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry Quadrupole Time-of-Flight can provide detailed compound profiling. Enzymatic methods are used for glucan analysis, while microbiological and heavy metals testing address different aspects of product safety and specification.

For food and beverage projects, analytical data may also be combined with physical performance measurements and trained sensory evaluation.

The objective is practical: to give procurement teams, product developers and brand owners better information about what they are buying and how an ingredient may perform.

EUROPEAN REGULATORY AWARENESS
Functional mushrooms do not all have the same regulatory position in the European Union.

Suitability depends on factors including species, fungal material, processing method and intended application.

Selected Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Maitake and Shiitake ingredients can be suitable for conventional food and food supplement applications. MUSHEEZ® supplies Chaga and Cordyceps CS-4 for food supplement use only.

MUSHEEZ® therefore considers the intended product and market before recommending an ingredient route.
