Avebe gets safety awards

Avebe has announced that it has received three Starch Europe Safety Awards from the trade association Starch Europe. The awards recognise the best-performing EU starch plants in reducing accidents in the work place.
Avebe says that its production plants in Gasselternijveen, Ter Apelkanaal (both in the Netherlands) and Malmö (Sweden) received the award, given to plants that show exceptional results on safety. All three factories produce year-round and employ a total of around 550 people. Avebe said it is proud of these Safety Awards, as they show the progress of the company’s focus on safety in the execution of its strategy and notes that it is continuously working on a safe workplace.
