Bedrocan is the most experienced producer of standardised medicinal cannabis and cannabis raw materials in the world. Besides medicinal cannabis, we offer a unique high-CBD raw material suitable for manufacturing quality nutraceuticals, and other cannabis-based products. The premium CBD Bedrolina® has a standardised content of 14% CBD and less than 1% THC, batch-to-batch. This standardised high-CBD cultivar allows for the use of less plant material in the manufacturing of CBD products in comparison with other hemp-derived raw materials. Bedrocan supplies Bedrolina® from its new indoor cultivation facility in Denmark and also plans to supply this cultivar through a partner outdoor cultivation in Suriname.
Cultivation expertise
Bedrocan uses unique cultivation methods to grow plants with consistent levels of active ingredients. The company started developing these methods in 1984, by growing chicory, culinary herbs, potted plants, and other crops under standardised and controlled conditions. In the 1990s, Bedrocan turned its focus to applying these methods to cultivate cannabis for medicinal use. The company is consistently looking to improve its cultivation expertise through an active R&D team that conducts research into plant genetics and the possibility of enhancing plants' active ingredients, including rare cannabinoids (e.g. CBN, CBG).
Contract manufacturing services
Bedrocan also offers contract manufacturing services and is able to grow different cultivars to customers' specifications. One of the company's biggest clients is the Dutch government to which it has supplied medicinal cannabis of consistent quality since 2003.
