15.04.2025: Vitafoods™ Europe provides the perfect setting to exchange ideas with Nordmann experts and find out more about the company's extensive product portfolio and the latest developments.
Dr. Ulla Seidel, Global Sales Director Life Sciences at Nordmann, comments: “We are seeing various trends in the food supplements industry, including natural ingredients, sustainability, vegan products, women's health (especially in relation to the thyroid and liver), mental fitness and functional foods. These trends are, of course, being incorporated into the latest formulations from our “Nordmann Food & Health Lab”. At the trade fair, we are presenting two chocolates from our application lab that have performance-enhancing and calming effects, which are in line with the functional food trend.”
With regard to the wide range of products and numerous innovations from Nordmann, Petra Fisch, Sales Director Life Sciences at Nordmann Germany, explains: “At Vitafoods, our partner Cell Biotech is presenting two real innovations: Brain Health Probiotics, which promote mental health, and Pet Probiotics, which help control weight in dogs through the use of probiotics. In addition, the company is presenting its established products: Oral Health Probiotics to support dental and gum health, and Muscle Health Probiotics to promote muscle building and maintenance. But also the innovative Double Layer Tablets. All products use Cell Biotech's patented LAB2Pro protection technology. This technology ensures that the probiotics in the products remain stable and effective by protecting them with special coatings.”
Dr. Claudia Heling, Senior Technical Sales & Product Manager Health Care at
Nordmann, adds: “Our partner IOI Oleo will be presenting the innovative product IMWITOR® 375. This is a high-performance, vegan, PEG- and palm oil-free solubilizer. It improves the bioavailability of active pharmaceutical ingredients in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and food applications. It also offers the possibility of encapsulation and solubilization of up to 10% active ingredient content and is suitable for both topical and oral dosage forms. IOI Oleo will also be presenting a new powder, WITARIX® MCT-Powder AC8CN. This is a powder made from MCT oil and acacia gum, which is rich in soluble fiber and low in sugar. The product is used in food supplements for athletes and in ketogenic diets to provide quickly available energy."
At Nordmann partner V. MANE FILS, everything revolves around flavors. The company has developed a portfolio of over 60 flavors that match consumer taste preferences. V. MANE FILS closely follows the latest trends: natural and exotic flavors such as dragon fruit and acai are growing in popularity, while citrus and red fruits continue to dominate the market.
At Nordmann partner Sun Chemical, the focus is on SUNFOODS™, a range of natural colors derived from plants (algae, vegetables and fruits). These can be used as a substitute for synthetic colors in foods and beverages, with a comparable shelf life. They offer a wide range of colors and are color-stable. Another highlight of the booth is Sun Chemical's Spirulina product line. This line includes sustainably grown spirulina (a blue-green microalgae) that is rich in over 50 healthy nutrients such as antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and unsaturated fatty acids. Spirulina is used to promote general well-being, support the cardiovascular and immune systems and as a dietary supplement.
Franziska Steller, Business Manager Health Care at Nordmann, adds: “We are pleased to be working with our new partner Aker BioMarine. Starting in March of this year, we will be distributing Aker BioMarine's high-quality krill and algae oil products in the DACH region. Krill oil, for example, provides phospholipids, omega-3 fatty acids and choline, which penetrate directly into cell membranes and offer many health benefits, including supporting normal heart and liver function. We are happy to present our innovative range to our customers at the trade fair and exchange ideas with them.”
Nordmann will be at VitafoodsTM Europe in Barcelona, Spain, May 20-22, 2025 at booth 4D135.
