Product description
Phycocyanin is natural light blue colorant extracted from Spirulina. Phycocyanin is one of the rare pigment protein in nature, not only colorful, but also itself is a nutrient rich protein.
Spirulina was cultured in a carbonated ponds at a pH of 8.5-11, then the pigment were extracted with water. The extract was then concentrated in vacuum and sprays dried to obtain Spirulina Blue pigment.
Application: Spirulina extract can be used in a wide range of foods and beverages including flavored dairy products, cheese, dairy based desserts, processed fruits and vegetables, baked good and baking mixes, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and beverage bases, breakfast cereals, cocoa products, confectionery products (including soft and hard candy and chewing gum), egg products, gravies and sauces, herbs and spices, condiments and soup and soup mixes, as well as in nutritional supplements and pharmaceuticals.
