The rapid adoption of GLP-1 therapies is reshaping the weight-management landscape, creating new opportunities for companion nutrition solutions. As concerns around lean muscle loss, fatigue and reduced nutrient intake grow, innovative ingredients are emerging to address these unmet needs. This article explores how Leanara® combines citrus bioflavonoids and bioavailable vitamin B12 to support healthier, more sustainable weight-management journeys.
HealthTech Bio Actives (HTBA) unveiled Leanara® at Vitafoods Europe 2026, introducing a new ingredient developed to support lean muscle mass, sustained energy and metabolic health during GLP-1-assisted weight-management journeys.
The launch responded to the rapid expansion of the GLP-1 market and the increasing demand for companion nutritional solutions designed to address challenges associated with these therapies. While GLP-1 medications have demonstrated significant benefits for weight management, growing evidence suggests that a substantial proportion of weight loss may come from lean muscle mass if not properly managed. At the same time, reduced appetite and lower food intake may contribute to fatigue and nutrient insufficiencies, creating opportunities for targeted nutritional interventions.
According to HTBA, Leanara® combines proprietary citrus bioflavonoids with a patented, highly bioavailable form of vitamin B12 to provide a dual-action approach supporting muscle health, energy metabolism and overall well-being throughout the weight-management journey.

During Vitafoods Europe, HTBA also presented the scientific rationale behind Leanara® in a presentation titled "Beyond weight loss: protect lean muscle and energy for GLP-1 users," highlighting the role of targeted nutrition in helping maintain muscle integrity and metabolic function alongside GLP-1 therapies.
Alongside Leanara®, the company showcased additional ingredients from its Functional Health portfolio, including MecobalActive®, an active form of vitamin B12 for cognitive and physical performance, and DiosVein Forte®, a micronized flavonoid complex developed to support venous health and circulation. The ingredients were presented across multiple delivery formats, including powders, chewables and gummies.
The launch reinforced HTBA's continued focus on developing science-backed, nature-derived ingredients that respond to emerging consumer health trends and support innovation across the nutraceutical industry.
