Mane has celebrated the opening of its new flavour research centre at the Biopolis in Singapore.

The company, which already has a significant presence in Asia, has invested in its 44th research centre to develop the next generation of flavours for the Asia-Pacific region.

“Our strong presence in Asia dates back to 1956 with my grandfather in Japan, where we just celebrated the 60th anniversary of our oldest affiliate in Tokyo,” said Mane President and CEO Jean Mane. “With a foothold in Singapore since 1993, we were then able to expand to Indonesia, China, India, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Taiwan, and more recently, Myanmar. We have also recently built a large state-of-the-art factory – Mane’s second – in Cibitung, Indonesia, with the capacity to cater to all of our customers across South East Asia. Today, we are strengthening our presence in Singapore to reinforce our partnerships with our core customers and take on challenges to foster our creativity.”

Said to be the first of its kind in Asia, the centre will focus on providing innovative solutions to the natural products, health, wellness and flavour industries. By establishing presence in Singapore, MANE said it brings its know-how to the heart of Asia, placing it in pole position to apprehend the local specificities of the Asian market.
