Whey Permeate is a by-product that is pressed through a membrane when ultra-filtrating whey. This product contains the largest part of lactose and minerals in the whey. To lower the salt content there is the possibility to use demineralized permeate. Varieties such as whey permeate and demineralized whey permeate is available. Applications: cost saving alternative for lactose & whey powder and bulking agent for food formulations.

Milk Permeate is a by-product of MPC production and mainly used for the standardization of Skimmed Milk Powder.
