沙棘油是通过超临界二氧化碳萃取技术从沙棘果实和种子中提取的一种植物性欧米茄。它含有190种生物活性元素，包括维生素、微量元素、不饱和脂肪酸、氨基酸和黄酮类化合物。在 14 种脂肪酸中，几乎 90% 是不饱和的，两种必需的不饱和脂肪酸是亚麻酸 (Omega 3) 和亚油酸 (Omega 6)，还含有棕榈油酸 (Omega 7) 和油酸 (Omega 9)。沙棘油可制成药品和保健食品，并可与其他油类类似地用于多种化妆品配方中。
