About

Company description

At Zooca®, we believe that valuable nutrients should be available to more people, without damaging our planet along the way. That in the pursuit of our own good health, we need to take care of the environments and ecosystems we’re a part of. That’s why we’re passionate about a tiny zooplankton called Calanus finmarchicus. It’s the world’s most abundant species and its potential for positive effects for people and planet.

Zooca® (Calanus AS) is a Norwegian bio-marine company developing, producing, and commercializing functional health and nutrition products based on the sustainable utilization of Calanus finmarchicus – one of the world’s largest renewable marine resources.

The company operates in both Norwegian and international markets and collaborates globally with industrial and scientific partners. Zooca® is the only company in Norway engaged in the industrial utilization of zooplankton.

Our entire value chain, from harvesting technology to processing, product development, and scientific documentation – is built on extensive research and innovation. All production takes place in our eco-friendly, gentle refinery in Sortland, Norway, ensuring full traceability, quality, and sustainability.
