Bee Pollen

Pollen are the male reproductive cells of flowering plants that bees collect. The bees mix these with their nectar and saliva, creating the pollen granules we know. A pollen trap at the entrance of the beehive strips the pollen granules from the pollen baskets of the bees, which are then collected and dried by the beekeeper. The granules are an important source of fats and proteins, rich in trace elements, essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. For bees, pollen is a vital part of their diet.
