Company description
Look across the fields and you see grass. Lots of grass. For generations, farmers have used it to feed their cows. But what if that same grass could also sustainably feed a growing world population, and benefit farmers at the same time?
That’s what Grassa does. Right after harvest, we press fresh grass into two streams. The fibre goes back to the farmer as feed for dairy cows, maintaining milk yield and quality while lowering emissions (30% less nitrogen, less CO2). From the grass juice, we extract high-quality ingredients: a neutral grass protein concentrate with all essential amino acids, a green grass protein with the same amino acids and a matcha-like profile, and prebiotic FOS.
Our ingredients are available now for animal feed and pet food. Human food applications will follow EU novel food approval.
