FLOWACTIVES® dry microcapsules contain a lipophilic
phytotherapeutic extract of Saw Palmetto oil obtained through supercritical CO₂ extraction. This
oil is rich in fatty acids— oleic, lauric, myristic, linoleic,
alpha-linolenic, palmitic, caprylic, and capric acids—as well as phytosterols
such as β-sitosterol, β-sitosterol-3-O-glucoside, campesterol, and stigmasterol.
The microcapsules are specifically designed to protect the active ingredients from oxidative degradation, ensure targeted delivery of the bioactive lipids to the intestinal tract, and enhance therapeutic efficacy by maintaining the structural and functional integrity of the oil.
Saw Palmetto is widely used for the management of mild benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and androgenetic alopecia, due to its antiandrogenic and anti-inflammatory properties.
