Product description
The main component of cinnamon essential oil varies depending on the part
of the plant from which it is extracted—bark (cortex) or leaf. The essential
oil obtained from the bark, in particular, is rich in cinnamaldehyde, along
with notable amounts of eugenol and linalool. Both types of oil exhibit strong
antifungal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and carminative
properties. Additionally, several studies suggest that cinnamon essential oil
may help reduce blood glucose levels and support insulin release.
FLOWACTIVES® dry microcapsules containing cinnamon essential oil, extracted
from the bark of Cinnamomum zeylanicum, enable a controlled and gradual
release of the active ingredients. This technology allows the formulation of
food supplements that preserve the oil’s therapeutic efficacy. The
microcapsules have a size range between 100 and 600 μm, with an average essential oil content of approximately 85%.
