Sun E

Sun E® is Kensing’s natural-source RRR-alpha-tocopherol derived from sunflower, developed for use in nutritional supplements and fortified food and beverage applications. As the natural form of alpha-tocopherol, Sun E® delivers the highest vitamin E activity, with Kensing materials stating that natural-source RRR-alpha-tocopherol provides 2x higher vitamin E activity than synthetic alpha-tocopherol due to the stereoselectivity of the alpha-tocopherol transfer protein (α-TTP) for the natural isomer.

Sun E® is produced from sunflower origin, offering a non-soy, non-GMO solution with no soy allergen concerns. The ingredient is also described as purified via physical separation only, supporting clean-label and plant-based positioning.

From a formulation standpoint, Sun E® is designed for applications where natural vitamin E performance and label appeal are important.
