Product description

Vinpocetine is a semi-synthetic compound derived from Vincamine, originally extracted from the plant Vinca minor. It is primarily used for its neuroprotective and vasodilatory effects, especially in relation to cerebral circulation.

Pharmacologically, vinpocetine is thought to enhance blood flow to the brain, improve oxygen and glucose utilization, and exert antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It also modulates neuronal ion channels and inhibits phosphodiesterase type 1 (PDE1), contributing to improved neuronal function.

Clinically, it has been used in the management of cognitive impairment, cerebrovascular disorders, and certain neurological conditions, although its efficacy and regulatory status vary across countries.
