Skimmed Milk Powder (SMP)SMP is produced by spray-drying pasteurized skimmed milk. It contains ~34–36% protein, is low in fat and lactose-rich, and has excellent solubility. SMP is widely used in bakery, confectionery, dairy, ice cream, and nutrition products.
Types and related milk powders:
BMP (Buttermilk Powder) – obtained from buttermilk during butter production, rich in phospholipids, enhances creaminess and texture in chocolate, ice cream, and bakery.
FCMP (Full Cream Milk Powder / Whole Milk Powder) – produced from whole milk, contains min. 26% fat, used in chocolate, confectionery, bakery, and dairy applications for its rich taste.
Cream Powder – spray-dried cream, high in milk fat (up to 75%), applied in chocolate, ice cream, bakery, and instant mixes for creaminess and flavor.
