Milk Protein Concentrate (MPC) is a dairy ingredient produced by ultrafiltration of skimmed milk, concentrating its natural casein and whey proteins while reducing lactose. MPC is valued for its high protein content, clean dairy flavor, and excellent nutritional and functional properties, including solubility, emulsification, and water-binding.
Types of MPC (by protein content in dry matter):
MPC 50 – min. 50% protein, balanced composition, used in bakery, confectionery, and dairy products.
MPC 60 – min. 60% protein, suitable for yogurts, desserts, and nutritional applications.
MPC 70 – min. 70% protein, good solubility, applied in cheese, sports nutrition, and functional blends.
MPC 80 – min. 80% protein, high nutritional value, ideal for protein-enriched foods, meal replacements, and sports supplements.
MPC 85 – min. 85% protein, premium grade, excellent digestibility, used in advanced nutrition, medical foods, and high-protein formulations.
