The
flour of the konjac tuber (Amorphophallus konjak, also called devil's tongue) is a well-known food in Asia. It
is known, among other things, from the original glass noodles, which despite
their low nutrient content create a long-lasting feeling of satiety. This is
due to the high content of konjac flour in a particularly long-chain soluble
fiber: glucomannan.
