Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose, Hypromellose, HPMC (E464) is a modified cellulose derived from cellulose pulp, which is derived from wood pulp.
This additive is available at a range of viscosities and also possesses the unique characteristic of thermal gelling. A gel is formed at higher temperatures and then lost when cooled again. This is a highly functional attribute for several applications.
