Methyl Cellulose (MC) (E461) is a modified cellulose, cellulose is probably the most abundant organic substance existing in nature and is the major constituent of most land plants.
The raw material for modified celluloses is cellulose pulp, which is produced from wood pulp.
This product is available at a range of viscosities and similar to HPMC provides a strong thermal gel for a number of applications.
