Calcium carbonate is employed as a pharmaceutical and nutraceutical excipient, mainly used in solid-dosage forms as a diluent but also as a food additive, antacid, calcium supplement and as coating alternative to Titanium dioxide.It occurs as an odorless and tasteless white powder or crystals.For the Nutraceutical market we supply:Omya Calcipur® & Calcipur®: a natural calcium source for Calcium supplementation from Marble and from Limestone (diff. particle sizes)Omyanutra® 300-OG: a co-processed excipient with high porosity resulting in high liquid absorption capacity giving a fast disintegration. It can also be used as a silicon dioxide alternative.
