Penford shareholders approve acquisition by Ingredion

Penford has announced that 99% of its its shareholders voted to approve the previously announced merger with Ingredion under which Ingredion will acquire all of the outstanding shares of Penford for approximately $340 million.
The transaction closing remains subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. Upon completion of the transaction, Penford will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ingredion.
