Sorbitol is a sugar free polyol sweetener used as a sweetener and bulking agent in sugar free gum and confectionery, and as sweetener and humectant in bakery, biscuit & pastry applications.It is also widely used in oral hygiene and some other technical applications.Sorbitol has a number of health benefits including being reduced in calories, having a low glycaemic index and being safe for diabetics.
