Matcha has recently become a rather fashionable tea variety in Europe, but this fine Japanese green tea can look back onto a long tradition: 800 years ago the drink was already enjoyed and loved by Buddhist monks. At AIYA we may not have been making matcha for 800 years, but we’ve been at it for more than 130. And since 1978, long before Matcha became fashionable, we’ve been producing it organically - A family tradition that we continue to follow today. Aiya produces the highest Matcha quality. Our teas not only inspire the masters of the Japanese Matcha Tea Ceremony, but are also very popular in the tea, food and beverage industries. Our market share of Matcha tea products for the industry is 90%.
