Corbion acquires ADM’s lactic acid business

ADM has attractive positions in the North American lactic acid market, Corbion said, saying that the acquisition will further strengthen the company’s position in this market.

The transaction includes the sales and delivery of lactic acid, sodium lactate, and potassium lactate products. No production facilities or personnel will be acquired. Production can be absorbed in existing Corbion production facilities, it saod.

The business was acquired for an undisclosed amount, paid in cash.
