Product description

Gum Karaya appears in drop-shaped pieces of different size or in irregular fragments of crystalline appearance. It is slightly yellow to faint pink, transparent, and sometimes contains dark coloured bark matter. Gum Karaya powder is light grey to reddish grey. It has a faint odour and taste of acetic acid. Gum Karaya is a complex, partially acetylated acid polysaccharide with the components D-galactose, L-rhamnose, D-galacturonic acid and D-glucoronic acid. Origin: India, Africa.
