Bifidobacterium
bifidum BGN4, BIFIDO's patented human-origin probiotic strain, a β-glucosidase-negative strain
that was isolated from the fecal sample of a healthy breastfed infant.
Bifido has carried out the various bio-functional effects, and the potential for industrial application of B.bifidum BGN4 has been characterized and proven by in vitro, in vivo, and in clinical studies.
B.bifidum BGN4 has a positive effect on human clinical health and has passed safety evaluation. It showed neither hemolytic activity nor mucin degradation activity, and it did not produce ammonia or biogenic amines. B.bifidum BGN4 has obtained the U.S. FDA GRAS certification and Korea halal certification.
